French Voltigeurs in 40mm






Some older stuff that some might have seen in the last LPL. The Colonel and some Voltigeurs. The monk was the first 40mm fig I ever painted.

    Super work and the weathering is just great!

    All look great, but the monk stands out probably due to in addition to the painting, but also he's very different.

    Rokurota, I used a dark brown (I think VMC Chocolate) as basecolour, adding Bestial Brown for the next layers, then pure Bestial Brown and BB plus Desert Yellow for the final highlights.
    I also love the monk ;-)

    I have a few of these in the 'to-do' drawer and this gives me great incentive to place them higher in the roster. Beautiful work, bravo!
